Perched in the lush landscape of La Florida El Bosque de las Aves, the juvenile Green Honeycreeper (Chlorophanes spiza) hints at nature's coming attractions. This photograph captures the fleeting moment before its transformation into the resplendent blue of an adult male, with delicate spots signaling the change.
My focus as a photographer was to highlight the subtle, yet significant, transitions of life, much like the ever-changing tapestry of nature itself. The bird's youthful greenery, punctuated by specks of blue, mirrors the dynamic ecosystem it calls home in Colombia.
