Description
At Hacienda Montecristo, Veracruz, near Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras, I captured the Gartered Trogon (Trogon caligatus), a jewel among birds. This image, a snapshot of my work as a conservation photographer, emphasizes the Trogon's stunning yellow underbelly and the vivid blue that graces its head and upper body, offset by a piercing dark eye ring. The bird's poised elegance and the soft, natural light filtering through the foliage accentuates the delicate interplay of color and form.
The photograph's composition speaks to the serenity of the Trogon's habitat, a reflection of the eco-friendly practices and sustainable tourism that I actively support. My mission is to bring the splendor of avian species to the forefront, encouraging a deeper appreciation and understanding of our planet's precious biodiversity.
This piece, with its allure and intricate detail, is suited for collectors and decorators seeking a touch of nature's brilliance for their spaces.
