Captured in the serene outskirts of Villa Verde, Honduras, the White-eared Hummingbird (Basilinna leucotis) epitomizes the quiet grace of the natural world. As a California-based bird photographer, my foray into the lush Celaque National Park offered a moment with this striking species. The bird's distinctive black mask, highlighted by the white ear stripe and the red base of its bill, presents a visual feast against the soft forest backdrop.
