Born right outside of New York City, I learned to enjoy cultural diversity and travel at a young age. My father's career brought us to South America to live for a short time where I discovered the wonder of foreign culture and travel.
Picking up a 110 camera in my early teens, I began to document family trips on film. After studying foreign languages and journalism in high school, I found myself shooting photos and writing for the college paper. When my degree program opened up foreign travel opportunities I jumped at the chance and managed to explore far corners of the planet with my camera.
Now based in Southern California, I regularly travel the globe in search of new and exciting scenes to capture. With only a small portion of my library published, and more coming online every day, I am curating the tens of thousands of images to bring forward the odd, the interesting, the eccentric, and the occasional intentional digital image.
Starting with a 110 Kodak Instamatic, I now shoot with Canon equipment, currently a 70D and an EOS-M mirrorless. My most used lenses are the Sigma 18-35 f/1.8, the Sigma 50-150 f/2.8, the Canon 400mm 4/5.6, the Tokina 10-17 fisheye, and on the EOS-M platform, the 22mm f2. In the tripod area, I use Induro equipment with all carbon fiber gear.
